Old Lei Yue Mun Quarry
It is located at the south east area of Lei Yue Mun.
Stone carving was a prosperous industry in Hong Kong before the 80s. However, the economic transformation took place in Hong Kong. Imports of construction materials, such as reinforced concrete, replaced the stone as the main building materials.The stone carving industry began to wither. Stone quarry was closed down one after another.
It is now an abandoned place, with remains of some stone houses and a stone hill.
